our approach
We work collaboratively. We are a newly formed independent company though we have worked together for over 30 years. This has afforded us the opportunity to develop a unique approach - an approach which values all members of the company and their contributuion. Through collaboration and ingenuity the lead artists devise appropriate frameworks to enable everyone to contribute equally. These frameworks are flexible and responsive, experimental and organic. Ideas grow and work is created.
our methods
We explore and experiment with concepts, materials and issues though devised structures and improvisation in multiple art forms. We consider our work poetic rather than narrative and enjoy making experiences and engaging in the moment. Whilst the work is improvisational and fresh we are also critical and reflective. We do not do activities without intention. Our intentions are to develop knowledge in all its forms. We often say we use our head , heart and hands.
current work
Our recent performance "What do I know" at Festival of The Mind, Sheffield demonstrated the unique skills developed by the company. The response to the performance has been so favourable it has catapulted us on our new trajectory - the validation of the "sophisticated knowledges" of adults with learning disabilities. We are in discussions with Sheffield University to begin our journey into this next exciting phase.
